Lesson Review

In today's lesson I have been looking at various different movie trailers and looking at ideas to pastiche, I have looked at "the purge" "taken" "I am legend" and "Kill list"

We have taken some ideas like

- Establishing shot of the house from the woods

- Chase through the woods

- Character under the bed and a footstep steps next to the bed

- Wideshot of the swings without the image being saturated 

Lesson objective

In today's lesson I will be looking at different trailers to pastiche for filming which we will be doing next week

Lesson review

In today's lesson I have added heavy breathing music to some of the clips while deciding which clips we will be recording tonight and putting into the different slots

In todays lesson I will be editing with finley, Im going to be deciding and putting in which clips are going to be shown with the heartbeats when one of the actors is walking towards the basement

Lesson Review

In today's lesson I have been editing the film trailer by adding music to different clips and removing audio from some of them.I have also printed off some forms for the actors to fill out

Lesson Objective

In today's lesson I will be contuining with editing the film trailer, using the clips for what we recorded this week and using the music which we found last lesson. I will be focusing on putting clips between the heartbeats where one of the characters is walking towards the basement

In today's lesson I have created and uploaded a production schedule for week 9 and I also added more rushers and analized them. I have also been helping finley edit the footage we have got so far by deleting some parts of clips which didn't fit it

Lesson Review

In today's lesson I have been writing up the edit log for what Finley has been editing in today's lesson



       


I have also been helping fin with editing throughout this lesson deciding where to cut different parts of the film and what edits to actually put into the clip

Lesson Review

This lesson I have created a production schedule for this week and uploaded footage from the weekend at Finleys house.

I still need to upload some more clips and evaluate them with our strengths which is having good characters in the film

we will be using part of this clip towards the end where we redid the part we wanted two or three times so we could get the timing right of james walking down the stairs



We will be using this clip towards the beginning of the film and what is good about this clip is that he looks and sounds like someone who the main character is meant to be like.




We will be using this clip as it looks believable and the characters do a good job of banging onto the cage door where they can't escape from whats coming after them



We will not be using this clip although it looks good and we would like to use it but it's not filmed at night and doesn't make it look scary enough to fit in with the story as it's a horror.

Lesson Review

In today's lesson I have completed the writing part under each of the storyboards and we have completed all the storyboards for what will be used tomorrow for filming at Finleys. I also completed a recce sheet for where we will be filming which is at Finleys house.

Lesson Objective

In today's lesson I will be finishing off a few of the remainder storyboards which we will be filming tomorrow at Finley's house and making sure we have all the paperwork for getting equipment today for filming tomorrow

In today's lesson we have been completing the storyboards for what we will be filming on saturday at Finleys house

In today's lesson we will be working on the storyboard in preparation for filming on saturday. James will be drawing what will be happening on the starboard and I will be writing what will be happening.

Production Schedule week 7


Contingency LO2

Upon evaluation we have decided that we will be altering our trailers storyline. The storyline instead will be a post-apocalyptic situation where a bunch of refugees are stuck inside a house and a antagonist breaks in to the house and starts harassing the survivors.
The new trailer will feature a lot of voice overs to hint at the storyline with clips jumping from calm to action to show what will be happening.
